BEST OF BIMINI
I just arrived home from my trip to Bimini, in the Bahamas with my boyfriend Reece. This little getaway was much needed. We needed a place to recharge from the stress of school, midterms, and all of that responsibility. Fortunately, this was the best place to do just that. I grew up going to Bimini, so I'm lucky enough to know all of the best places on the island. The first beach is on the "town" side of the island. Town is where all the locals live, and they have some of the best beaches there. It's insane. Not many people know about it and honestly, it is one of my favorite places to visit while I'm in Bimini. This beach is a must for pictures! Especially during golden hour. It is also a prime spot for exploring if you're into that.
I'm a little adventurer and picked up a sea urchin. Reece freaked out because he thought I was going to get the spines stuck in my hand but, I'm very skilled and managed to handle the sea urchin without any injuries. After the beach, we went to Stuarts Conch Stand. You need to eat here. I could LIVE on the conch salad Stuart makes. It’s the hottest spot in town. Ask the locals, they’ll tell you Stuart’s is the best place to get your conch salad fixin’.
I could just leave this picture here and be selfish and not tell you where to see the BEST sunsets of your life, but I love you guys so I won't do that to you. This picture was taken at Radio Beach in town. Not only is this beach a prime spot for sunset pictures, but it also has CJ's (a little restaurant shack) that has amazing food. If I had to pick one item off the menu, I'd highly recommend getting the conch fritters. They will not disappoint. After exploring town and showing Reece all my favorite places, we moved onto the actual resort. Hands down the best food on Resorts World Bimini is the Sushi Bar. As I've mentioned before, I'm a sushi snob and am pretty picky with what I eat. This restaurant is in my top 5 favorite sushi places ever. I've never had a bad roll there before, and I've eaten almost every single one minus the ones with salmon because of my allergy.
The best beach on the resort side of the island is Luna Beach. This beach has cabanas, beach chairs, and really good drinks (drinking age in Bimini is 18). There is so much to do on this beach. The music is always great and on busy weekends they always have the best DJ's from Miami performing. There are also jet ski's and water bikes/boats that you can rent if you want a little fun in the sun. Bimini is my favorite place in the world. It's small enough that I feel safe and secure, but not too small in which I feel like I need to get off the island in 3 days. I recommend getting a room at the Hilton hotel. There's a "lazy pool" surrounding the entire back side of the hotel which always has great music. The hotel is also connected to the casino. I mean what more could you ask for? If you haven't been to Bimini, I hope that this post has inspired your next vacation destination!
